just being picky about the wording.... i'll never quite understand how choosing a license that allows being *less* open in the end (LGPL) qualifies as "a good change towards openness". ;)
a move towards wider acceptance, maybe... but openness? don't know...
@Anonymous: Good point, from my perspective "open" means here that people & companies can use software more openly/freely, probably "free" would have been a better word. But open and free are both words which mean different things to different people =)
